About Coronata Collection
Coronata collection tells the story of a contemporary vision of love and the Georgian era “lover’s eye” tradition, and its designs stem form a long research both conceptual and of shapes. The historical line is completely reinterpreted through the brand's contemporary language, but each jewel still perspires all the history and taste of its origin. The main characteristic of the Coronata collection are the lover's eye engravings and the use of innovative pearls, a metal that is attentively treated to make metal look like a different material. Conceptually it explores the concept bold vulnerability. It is in being boldly vulnerable that one is strong, regardless of the odds of winning, and this philosophy is transferred to each jewel turning it into a celebration, a conquest, a victory and from this the name “Coronata”, crowned. The afterlife has no crowns set aside for those who have never been broken.
The art of an Amàlgama jewel
All Amàlgama jewels are characterized by an aesthetic register that is organic, tactile and fearless, their design is guided by a strong conceptual research that is about creating rigor and disrupting it with gut feeling, about translating a stream of consciousness, a sensation into matter. The jewels are born one by one by hand and created with lost wax casting which makes them all unique and unrepeatable. The materials used to create these jewels are sourced ethically and the laboratories that collaborate with Amàlgama Jewels in the mechanical processes are small artisanal excellences based in the province of Vicenza, the city of gold.
